I am currently living in Hemet, Ca. I currently work as a DUI Counselor, which is rewarding and not about the pay. I retired from Camp Pendleton in 1999, after a neck injury and went back to school in 2003. I am a published poet, sing Karoake weekly, still play my guitar occasionally and have many varried interests. I graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College in 1980, with an AA in Education and have Certificates from UC Davis and Mt. San Jacinto Colleges. I was the Chairman of the 2005 Adult Children of Alcoholics Convention and am very involved in 12 Step programs and working in the Treatmant field. A Poem

TOO TOUCH A BUTTERFLY

WINGS OF POWDERED COLORS

BLUES AND ORANGE BRIGHT

TO FLOW ON GENTLE BREEZES

FROM DAWN TO DAYS LAST LIGHT

I KNOW I CANNOT TOUCH YOU

BUT LAND ON ME YOU MAY

IF I MOVE TOO QUICK

YOU’RE SURE TO FLY AWAY

I was and Athelete, playing football and wrestling and boxed in the Junior Olympics. I was a relitively poor student, but excelled in college. I have always been shy, but have forced myself to speak in front of large groups of people. I am very spiritual and follow the ways of my Native American ancestors. I was a Staff Sargent in the USAF and had several combat missions in Viet Nam. From there I went to work at Mare Island
Shipyard going from Pipefitter Helper, through the Apprenticeship and on to become an Engineer. I spent 25 years at MINSY and from there went to Camp Pendleton, where I got 4 more years, retiring in 1999. I've always come up with a reason to stay in SOCAL but miss home and family. I have a strong support network down here and that would be the hardest thing to give up.
