Doreen E. Stith Vigus

Our son Christopher lives in Italy with his wife, Mikaela. He was in the Navy for 9 years serving in the Submarine Service, now works for NATO, speaks fluent Italian and has a wonderful life in Rome. Don't see enough of them but every chance we get we go to Italy or they come home. He is a wonderful provider and so generous and loving with those he cares about. Our son Scott, is currently in his last year at the University of Oregon as a History major. He is doing very well in school and is an amazing young man with a very strong faith in God. I am very proud of how Scott has taken his faith to heart and is taking the path God has planned for him. My sons are my pride and joy and I am so very proud of them and feel blessed that God has allowed me to raise them. They have both grown into warm and caring young men who have made my life feel complete, along with my husband.

My husband, Jim, retired a couple of years ago after having worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore for about 22 years. Prior to that he was in the Navy. We lived in San Diego for a couple of years, in Brentwood, CA for 22 years and just recently moved into a new home in Merlin, Oregon which we built on 10 beautiful wooded acres.

Life always has its ups and downs but when you take a moment and look around, you realize how very blessed you are. I have a husband who loves me and two wonderful boys who make me so very proud and make me also feel very special. I have a beautiful daughter-in-law (Miky) whom I also love and who loves me in return, and I have wonderful friends who have always been there for me in good times and in bad. I have a warm and caring sister, a brother who I have missed and am reconnecting with, and a wonderful extended family who know who they are.
