Well, I guess it's time to do this. After all of Paul's hard work at creating and maintaining this site I figure I should participate.
Too much water under the bridge the last 60 years to get into detail, so suffice it to say ( I always like using that term - got it from Mr. Williams at Redwood) that I've been a Jack of many trades and master at none. I worked at Sawyer's Tannery for a while - so pleasant, can still smell the formaldehyde - but eventually got into retail selling waterbeds and through that became a major influence in the design and marketing of futons. Moved n the Real Estate where obtained my Broker license but primarily worked in the mortgage side of the business and still maintain my license to conduct business - if it ever comes back. I got married and had two wonderful kids who have done me proud. Catherine has blessed me with 2 amazing grandsons. Robbie will be getting married this May, so I'm sure more will be on the way eventually.
After boring all my friends with tales of sailing and pirates and islands I finally decided to walk the talk and departed San Francisco in Nov 2023 on my 46 foot sailboat to ports unknown. First stop - La Paz, MX - my current location as of this post. I will be here for about another month then Mazatlan. This summer I will explore the Sea of Cortez then haul the boat out for maintenance and preparation of a major blue water passage. Stay tuned.
