Life has been and is an interesting and exciting adventure. I muttered through high school wondering what I wanted to be when I grew up. After graduation I took some classes at Napa College and tried a number of different things that included a decade as a realtor and real estate investor in Napa. I eventually found my way back to Napa College to clean up my academic record and pursue an engineering career. I was accepted into the UC Berkeley engineering program and moved to Berkeley (Napa College and their teachers are amazing). I graduated from UC Berkeley in 1990 with a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Material Science Engineering. I started as an engineer working for Ford Aerospace in Palo Alto. Designing components for communication satellites proved to be challenging and rewarding. Things started falling apart when Loral bought the business from Ford and began splitting off and rearranging everything. I left Loral Aerospace -- stole one of their valuable (and beautiful) employees and married her. We then started our own business of developing software for the adventure travel industry.
I’ve tried to make my way back to life in Napa, but find myself captive to Berkeley’s waterfront, university, parks, restaurants, weather, activities, options, and outrageously fine sailing on the San Francisco bay and beyond.
I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, but then again –
