Neil Wheeler

The past 40 years seemed to have flown by! After graduation I began Napa College and then transferred to UC Berkeley and graduated in 1973.

Went in the Air Force upon graduation and assigned to San Jose State for "training" in meteorology. After San Jose I spent the next 4 years in Colorado as a Weather Officer at NORAD.

After the Air Force I returned to San Jose for graduate school and then spent the next 16 years at the California Air Resources Board in Sacramento.

I took a little detour in the mid 1990s and spent 4 years in North Carolina at the North Carolina Supercomputing Center. In 1999 I had the opportunity to return to California and work at Sonoma Technology in Petaluma. I left Sonoma Technology in 2013 to form my own company, Atmospheric Sciences International and teach Physics at Santa Rosa Junior College.
